Guanajuato is all excited with the Tri victory

Families in Guanajuato celebrated Mexico’s 1-0 victory over South Korea at the Fiesta Guanajuato in Leon, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, and Yuriria

The official broadcasts brought together 18,549 people over eight days, strengthening social interaction, the enjoyment of public spaces, and the promotion of tourism in Guanajuato

The excitement was felt once again in Guanajuato. With green jerseys, flags, cheers, and entire families reunited in front of screens, the public squares of Leon, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, and Yuriria were once again filled with a soccer atmosphere during the Fiesta Mexico in Guanajuato, promoted by the People’s Government through the Secretary of Tourism and Identity.

Mexico’s 1-0 victory over South Korea ignited celebrations at all three venues, where children, young people, families, and visitors shared a safe, orderly, and free day of fun as part of the official authorized broadcasts of the biggest football festival.

Even before the game began, the venues started welcoming families from Guanajuato. In Leon, the Plaza Expiatorio once again became a reunión point for those who enjoyed the game in a family atmosphere, among them the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, who celebrated the Mexican national team’s goal along with the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon. 

In Dolores Hidalgo, the Cradle of Mexican Independence, the Main Square brought together residents and visitors in the historic heart of the municipality, where the sounds of matracas and trumpets filled the air. In Yuriria, the Civic Plaza was alive with excitement throughout the afternoon and evening, as people celebrated every play by Mexico.

With this result, the fans in Guanajuato once again raised their voices. Mexico’s goal unleashed hugs, applause, and a collective shout of “goal!” in all three plazas, demonstrating how soccer also strengthens community spirit, promotes the positive use of public spaces, and fosters pride in sharing moments together.

So far, the Fiesta México in Guanajuato (planned for 39 days of operation) has registered a total of 18,549 visitors across its three venues.

“The Guanajuato Festival is an opportunity for us to come together as a community, to enjoy time with our families, and to continue showing that our State has so much to offer. Each active plaza represents community, tourism, identity, and trust in our destinations,” said the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon.

Guanajuato once again experienced a night of football in community, where Mexico’s victory was also a reason to continue celebrating the identity, family unity and tourist vocation of the State.
