The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, presented the package of social and infrastructure works to be carried out in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, with a historic general budget of 7 billion 943 million pesos.
“We are putting our hands to work to change lives and write new stories. We are going to carry out projects that generate development, projects with a single purpose: the benefit of people and communities, because we do not forget who we are here for,” said Libia.
There will be 386 People’s projects that will be carried out with the financing approved by the State Congress, of 4 billion pesos that today translates into tangible actions for every corner of the State.
The State Governor pointed out that this financing will be fully absorbed by the People’s Government and that, for the first time, the municipalities will not pay a single peso.
These are:
- 260 street paving projects and New Beginning Centers: with an investment of 1,255 million pesos
- 87 rural road and farm-to-market road projects: with an investment of 634 million pesos
- 12 distribution networks and drinking water systems projects, treatment plants, collectors and sanitary drainage: with 466 million pesos
As a way to respond to the public’s trust, the Governor presented the transparency platform:
so that everyone can find out what these 386 projects are, as well as consult each municipality and track their progress.
“This is not just another exercise in proactive transparency by the People’s Government, it is a comprehensive policy, it is giving back to the people the power to know, to monitor and to evaluate,” explained Libia Dennise.
This list of projects is supplemented by additional projects that will not be carried out with the financing provided by the State Congress; projects that were approved in the working groups but were not included in the credit due to the new federal criteria of the Secretary of Finance.
Public works are coming to all the municipalities, important are works of sports infrastructure in Penjamo, in Salvatierra, in Jerecuaro, in San Miguel de Allende, in Dolores Hidalgo, in Leon and in Salamanca.
“Here, there are no political affiliations; we are all one big team for Guanajuato. A team made up of the 46 municipalities and the People’s Government, but above all, of the hardworking, talented people with a great spirit to succeed. These are investments for everyone!” said the Governor of Guanajuato.
Present at this event were Mayors and State Officials and Authorities of the Judiciary and Legislative Powers, the military and civil.
