The State Governor recognized the careers of teachers with more than 40 and 30 years of experience

Education is one of the top priorities of the People’s Government, because behind every school there are stories of effort, dreams and opportunities, said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, as she led the ceremony for Teacher’s Day 2026.
“Today we are not only celebrating our teachers, today we are celebrating our guides, our builders of dreams, those who sow hope from the classrooms,” said Libia Dennise.
“Teachers, we have you in our hearts, each and every one of you, because you shaped us with love and planted in us that seed that today flourishes in Guanajuato,” said Libia.
The State Governor presented awards to teachers, accompanied by Luis Ignacio Sanchez Gomez, Secretary of Education; Raul Espinoza Alonso, General Secretary of the SNTE, Section 13; and Juan Rigoberto Macias, General Secretary of the SNTE, Section 45.
Authorities recognized 724 teachers for their career and years of service: 501 teachers with 30 years of work and 223 with 40 years dedicated to teaching in Guanajuato.
“They are women and men who have been part of the growth of education in the State and who have accompanied the academic and human development of thousands of girls, boys and young people,” said Luis Ignacio Sanchez Gomez, Secretary of Education of the People’s Government.
Governor Libia Dennise announced the development of a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of all schools in the State, to identify maintenance or rehabilitation needs, and to prioritize actions, starting with the schools that need it most.
With this recognition of the teachers of Guanajuato, the People’s Government maintains a vision of continuity and strengthening of education, promoting actions to improve learning conditions and dignify school spaces at all levels.
