Guanajuatense companies strengthen their international competitiveness through security standards recognized by U.S. Customs
The training boosts the confidence of international buyers and reinforces Guanajuato’s position as a reliable trading partner

With the aim of strengthening the competitiveness and secure access of Guanajuatense companies to the United States market, the Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator (COFOCE) conducted in-person training on “C-TPAT Update, Secure Access to the United States Market”.
In this information session, which was held in person, more than 100 people from more than 50 companies in different sectors learned about the updates to the C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program, an accreditation granted by U.S. Customs to reliable companies that meet high security standards in their supply chain.
“At COFOCE, we have received instructions from our Governor, Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, so that the State continues promoting a clear vision of building an environment where security, transparency, and collaboration are the foundation for economic development and international projection. We understand that this program is not only a requirement but also an opportunity to strengthen trust with our main trading partners,” said Carlos Alberto Rodriguez, Director of the International Training and Certifications area at COFOCE.
This international program provides certainty and trust to buyers and business partners by ensuring that participating companies maintain secure processes in the handling of goods, information, transportation and supply, strengthening their position in international markets.
The training allowed attendees to update their knowledge of the guidelines and best practices required to maintain and strengthen this certification, considered strategic to facilitate commercial operations with the United States.
COFOCE continues to promote professionalization and business training as key tools to consolidate Guanajuato as a competitive, reliable State prepared to respond to the demands of global trade.
