Guanajuato is advancing in the transition towards a digital, closer and more efficient government thanks to the development of the artificial intelligence assistant ConectaGTO, winner of 1st place in the Hackathon of the Agentic Builders League Mexico 2026, organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS), among more than 60 participating companies such as BMW, BBVA, Cinepolis, among other.
The Secretary of Finance of the People’s Government developed “ConectaGTO – Intelligent Citizen Agent” to assist taxpayers with their tax procedures, CURP and RFC inquiries, certificate generation, and access to the People’s Government’s social programs, in an inclusive manner, thanks to its voice accessibility functions for people with visual disabilities, as part of the projects that Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo is promoting to improve services for the people of Guanajuato.
The award was presented on April 28 at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel in Mexico City during an awards ceremony organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The team of the General Direction of Information and Communication Technologies (DGTIT) received the recognition for their talent and creativity in combining Amazon Bedrock AgentCore technology with Generative AI in the creation of ConectaGTO.
Amazon Web Services is the world’s most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud computing platform. It offers more than 200 end-to-end services, including computing power, storage, and databases, from data centers around the world.
The Secretary of Finance has previously been recognized for its talent in using artificial intelligence and information technologies to innovate public service.
In February of this year, it received for the second time the first national ranking of Best Place to Code Mexico in the Corporate category, an accreditation from Software Guru that recognizes companies that have a high-performance environment for software development and the professional growth of people dedicated to information technologies.
Meanwhile the Senate of the Republic of Mexico and u-GOB Lab (Laboratory of Innovation and Digital Transformation for Better Governments of Ibero-America) recognized the Secretary and the Tax Administration Service of the State of Guanajuato (SATEG) with the u-GOB Award for Public Innovation 2025 in the Applied Artificial Intelligence category, for the development of the BIANCA platform, which uses the highest technology to modernize and streamline the auditing work.
The Secretary of Finance reaffirms its commitment to use technology with a focus on people and their development, through accessible, local and efficient services.
