On the occasion of the Day of the Holy Cross, the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, participated in the celebration organized by the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) Guanajuato Delegation, where she reaffirmed her government’s commitment to this key sector for the development of the State.

Libia emphasized that public works are an investment in the future, announcing a fund of nearly 4 billion pesos for projects that will be carried out by Guanajuatense companies, boosting employment, the local economy, and better living conditions for families.

Speaking to representatives of the sector, the Governor emphasized that “laying the foundations of the future we want is in our hands,” while also giving special recognition to the women and men of the construction industry, whose daily work, based on effort and honest labor, allows us to continue building the Guanajuato of the future.

The Governor insisted that her administration will continue working hand in hand with the CMIC, strengthening coordination to generate more projects and opportunities in all regions.

The president of CMIC Guanajuato, Gabriel Zermeño Flores, welcomed and recognized the workers as the pillar of this industry, noting that “they not only build infrastructure, but also create opportunities and the development of our State.”

Libia noted that this date honors both the faith and the commitment of those who, with intense days and discipline, transform ideas into realities, and reaffirmed the Chamber’s willingness to continue building as a team with the State Government.

The Secretary of Public Works, Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, emphasized that the sector is not alone and that public works are a tool to generate employment, strengthen local businesses and improve people’s quality of life.

“Each project has a clear purpose: to bring communities closer together, reduce travel times, and open up opportunities,” said Perez Beltran, acknowledging the quality and talent of the Guanajuatense workforce.

“What we have built represents trust, development and the future,” said Iliana Almaguer Velazquez on behalf of the workers, while acknowledging the role of all the people involved in the construction process.

The commemoration allowed for a renewed emphasis on the importance of this sector as an economic and social engine of Guanajuato, as well as the value of teamwork of Government, private initiative and workers to continue building a State with more opportunities for everyone.

Previously, the People’s Governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, celebrated the Day of the Holy Cross with the College of Architects and Engineers of Leon, where she thanked those who, with their hearts, build the best of our State and our municipality.

Ana Bertha Arteaga Alvarez, president of the College, acknowledged the effort of the construction workers, noting that their daily work, based on discipline and teamwork, transforms projects into realities and strengthens the development of the city.

The Governor participated in the religious ceremony on the occasion of this deeply rooted tradition in the sector.
