Guanajuato strengthens the projection and commercialization of its handicrafts with the start of the 2026 Spring Handicraft Festival, a space that brings together the producers of Marca Guanajuato to bring the public closer to pieces that are distinctive for their quality, design and cultural value.
Under the leadership of the People’s Governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Economy is promoting actions to highlight and strengthen traditional sectors, preserving the cultural identity of Guanajuato and generating economic development opportunities for producers.
This year’s event features 35 Marca Guanajuato companies of the metalwork, wood carving, pottery, and ceramics sectors, as well as the agro-food and leather, footwear, and textile industries. The exhibitors have access to five rooms and two courtyards within the Casa de las Artesanías (House of Handicrafts) for displaying and selling their products, in addition to a permanent sales point that benefits approximately 90 artisans throughout the year.
The Festival takes place from March 27 to April 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the House of Crafts, located at Plaza de la Paz No. 14, in downtown Guanajuato City.
During this holiday season, the Spring Craft Festival positions itself as a meeting point for visitors seeking to acquire products with Guanajuatense identity, recognizing the work and dedication of those who craft them.
The Guanajuato Pottery and Ceramics Cluster is made up of 11,816 economic units that generate employment for 34,651 people, reflecting the relevance of this sector in the State economy.
