With a call to continue building the future of Guanajuato, the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, presented her Second Regional Government Report in San Felipe, with which she concluded the information tour carried out in different regions of the State.

The State Governor noted the most important projects being promoted in this area, including the modernization of the Boulevard de la Libertad, which connects San Miguel de Allende with Dolores Hidalgo.
“With this project, we are boosting tourism and the economy of the entire region, transforming this road into a hub for development, safety, and mobility. We are doing this with a vision for the future,” she said.

In San Felipe, said Libia Dennise, work is underway to remodel the Community Hospital so that families don’t have to travel to other cities in case of illness or emergency. Additionally, the San Felipe Parkway is being rehabilitated.
In Ocampo, she highlighted the construction of the first stage of a treated water pipeline for agricultural irrigation, as well as drinking water distribution networks in communities.
Meanwhile, in San Diego de la Union, the Benito Juarez Market was rehabilitated, in addition to paving works and the rehabilitation of the piped water system in the town of Catalan del Refugio.
“With all this, the People’s Government delivers. Said and done!” the Governor declared.

We are on the right track in terms of security
Regarding security, the Governor said that Guanajuato is on the right track, with results that mark a turning point in building peace.
“The indicators that have historically been used to evaluate our State show that we are on the right track, and we will stay that way,” said Libia.

The Governor explained that, through the CONFIA strategy, based on intelligence and coordination with the Prosecutor’s Offices, the Armed Forces, the Federal Government and the municipalities, February registered the lowest number of intentional homicides in the last eight years, maintaining the downward trend that began last year.
Libia added that the daily average of cases has also been reduced to less than half, demonstrating that Guanajuato can move towards peace.

The President highlighted the creation of the Anti-Extortion Squad and the 800 TE CUIDO hotline, actions that have prevented millions of pesos from going into the hands of criminals.
“We will not rest until we arrest those who steal the peace of mind of our merchants, the families who start businesses, and those who work honestly,” she said.

Libia informed that the State Highway Police was strengthened, whith agents who monitor more than 4,300 kilometers of State and Federal roads with more personnel and better patrols.
The Guanajuato en Paz platform was also launched, a unique space in Mexico that integrates the work of the Operational Intelligence Group, with information from the State, the Prosecutor’s Offices, the Federal Security Secretary, the Army, the National Guard and the National Intelligence Center.
“Security is built by everyone: with institutions that respond, but also with a citizenry that participates and raises its voice,” said the Governor.
