From March 2 to 9, the youth soccer team, runner-up in the National Olympics, will be in Japan to experience sports and culture with that country as part of the reaffirmation of brotherhood between the People’s Government and the Hiroshima Prefecture in 2024.
Projects in tourism, education, culture and sports are part of the actions that have been created since then to achieve exchanges that strengthen friendship and that is why a group of young soccer players will be on Japanese soil for a week to live this cultural and sporting experience in the Asian country.
With a very enriching itinerary, the Guanajuato soccer team will visit sports and cultural facilities and will also play some soccer matches against the Hiroshima team.
The relationship between Guanajuato and Hiroshima was reaffirmed by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo in October 2024, and today it is up to sports to make its presence felt and carry out actions that enrich our young.
Hiroshima and Guanajuato signed an Economic Relations Agreement in 2014, it was reaffirmed over the years, in 2015 through a sister city agreement and enriched in 2019 and 2023 with a sports exchange agreement.
