During 2025, the Food Assistance Program of the State DIF System reached a historic coverage by delivering more than 25 million 282 thousand 366 food rations, as part of the comprehensive strategy the Super League of Health, focused on improving the eating habits and quality of life of the families of Guanajuato.
The Director General of the State DIF System, Jose Alfonso Borja Pimentel , reported that this effort benefited 202,204 people, thanks to the coordinated work of nutritionists and promoters of the State DIF with the 46 municipalities of the State, who implemented actions to guarantee food that met the highest standards of quality, hygiene and nutritional value.
Borja detailed that, throughout the year, 9 million 495 thousand 956 cold rations, 12 million 1 thousand 850 hot rations and 3 million 784 thousand 560 rations were distributed through food supplies, through community dining halls for the benefit of the educational sector, girls, boys and students of public schools in various regions of Guanajuato.
This effort was complemented by the delivery of 189,580 food packages, aimed at people in need, girls and boys during their first thousand days of life, as well as families who faced emergency situations.
These actions, Borja Pimentel noted, were consolidated under the vision of the President of the Advisory Council of the State DIF System, Juan Carlos Montesinos Carranza, who has promoted comprehensive care for the different groups in vulnerable situations, placing food as a fundamental axis for a better quality of life.
The general director emphasized that the Super League of Health not only includes the delivery of nutritious and safe food, but also promotes the development of healthy habits through guidance and food education activities.
As part of this preventive component, during 2025, 2,474 food guidance and education actions were carried out, benefiting 20,781 people in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, through talks, workshops, forums and conferences aimed at promoters, mothers and fathers volunteering community kitchens.
“These actions reflect the coordinated effort between the People’s Government, the 46 municipalities, and the community committees, who work daily to improve the quality of life of those who need it most,” said Borja Pimentel.
With these actions, the State DIF System strengthens food security and the integral development of Guanajuatense families, always prioritizing those who need it most.
