The People’s Government, led by Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, maintains its commitment to guarantee continuous and timely medical care throughout the Guanajuatense territory.
Only in 2025, the Guanajuato Health System totaled 3 million 516 thousand 229 medical consultations, as of the end of November, reported the Secretary of Health, Gabriel Cortes Alcala.
This work was possible thanks to the operation of more than 630 first and second level medical units in operation, ready to respond to the needs of the population.
In 2025, more than 3 million Guanajuatense without social security received timely and quality care in 46 municipalities.
These services were provided through:
- 590 primary care units, better known as People’s Health Centers
- 7 support units
- 7 specialized hospitals
- 16 general People’s Hospitals
- A network of 19 community hospitals.
- 5,420 paramedics
The Guanajuato State Emergency System has 5 modules:
- Guanajuato, Acambaro, Penjamo, Salamanca and Pueblos del Rincon
- 6 bases: Leon, San Luis de La Paz, San Felipe, Cortazar, San Jose Iturbide and Tierra Blanca
- 11 supervisors, 12 first response vehicles, a rescue unit and a mobile clinic, plus a first-class medicopter
- In total, the Emergency System closed the year with 39,871 transfer services as of October of last year
