More than 18 million visitors have chosen Guanajuato. The visitors are spread throughout the State, benefiting tourism service providers, artisans, traditional cooks, and local economies

The People’s Government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Identity, reported that Guanajuato registered a positive closing to the month of October 2025 with 18 million visitors.
An economic impact of 42,659 million pesos was also accumulated , figures that confirm the strengthening of tourism as an engine of well-being for the communities of the state.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, María Guadalupe Robles León , highlighted that this growth represents a significant advance compared to the previous year and reflects a sustained upward trend, a mission entrusted by Governor Libia Denisse García Muñoz Ledo.
“As of October, we already have 18 million visitors. This represents an economic impact of 42.659 billion pesos. This is a projected increase of 9% in visitors compared to last year, and 10% in economic impact. These are very good numbers.”
Robles León emphasized that the growth is not concentrated in a single destination, but is distributed throughout the state , benefiting tourism service providers, artisans, traditional cooks and local economies.
“Above all, this is spreading throughout the state. As the number of visitors increases, so does the economic impact,” the official explained.
The State Government projects to close the year exceeding the results of 2024, reaffirming Guanajuato as one of the most solid and competitive tourist destinations in the country.
