The Guanajuato State Secretary of Culture announces the presentation of The Nutcracker, performed by the Monterrey Ballet, as part of the special program for the 15th Anniversary of the Roberto Plasencia Saldana Bicentenario Theater.
This emblematic work of the holiday season will be presented in three performances on December 5, 6, and 7, 2025, in the Main Hall of the theater. Tickets for all three performances are sold out, reflecting the great interest this production generates year after year.
The production will be presented under the artistic direction of Yosvani Ramos, with choreographic restaging by Luis Serrano, based on the original by Lev Ivanov and a libretto by Marius Petipa, inspired by Alexandre Dumas adaptation of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story. With music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the play has become a staple of winter theater seasons worldwide.
