The State Coordination of Civil Protection, attached to the Secretary of Security and Peace, warned about the drop in temperatures that is expected to m remain in Guanajuato until the early morning of Tuesday, November 12.
According to the General Coordination of the National Meteorological Service, the passage of cold front No. 13, which will enter over the north and northeast of Mexico, and it will be driven by an arctic air mass that will reach Guanajuato and fourteen other states.
In Guanajuato the northern, northeastern and highland regions are expected to register minimum temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of light frosts in high hill municipalities.
The State Coordination of Civil Protection urges the population to stay warm inside and outside their homes or workplaces, wear protective clothing such as gloves and a hat, consume fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, and cover your nose and mouth.
At home, it is recommended to cover the bottom of doors with pieces of cloth, and the gaps with adhesive tape, as well as avoiding lighting firewood or wood chimneys in enclosed spaces.
The cold front will also be accompanied by wind gusts of 30 to 45 km/h and up to 60 to 70 km/h in Guanajuato.
