Students of the CONALEP Silao campus reaffirmed Guanajuato’s national leadership in education robotics by winning 1st and 3rd place nationally in the Master category of the WER Mexico 2025 National Robotics Tournament, held on October 30 and 31 at the Multi-Purpose Auditorium of the Autonomous University of Queretaro.

With this result, both teams earned their place in the WER International 2025 World Tournament, which will be held from December 10 to 15 in Shanghai, China, where they will proudly represent CONALEP and Mexico.

The winners:
- The 1st National Place went to the ROBONAU Team from CONALEP Silao, with a score of 1,180 points, made up of Candy Sarai Guerrero Ramirez, Christian Uriel Munoz Ramirez and Adan Manuel Martinez
- The 3rd National Place was obtained by the ROBOCON Team from CONALEP Silao, with 1,140 points, made up of Angel Jesus Gutierrez Aburto, Oscar Adolfo Sanchez Meza and Christopher Jose Belman Millan
- Both teams were trained by their coach, Professor Edgar Ivan Hernandez Rodriguez, who has promoted the training of young talents in the field of education robotics

This year, the tournament challenge was called “Self-Driving Cars–Autonomous Mobility for All”, where robots had to simulate autonomous vehicles, facing challenges of navigation, decision making and accessibility.
International success story
Since 2016, the CONALEP Silao campus has established itself as a leader in education robotics both nationally and internationally.

In 2025, the CONALEP Silao and Valle de Santiago teams further consolidated CONALEP’s prestige by winning three international awards at the ROBORAVE 2025 Tournament in Egypt.
CONALEP Guanajuato continues to strengthen its leadership in technological innovation and project its students as ambassadors of Mexico’s talent, creativity, and educational excellence to the world.
