The new bridge “El Pipila” was opened to traffic in this colonial city
Going in and out of San Miguel de Allende will be faster, the Governor announced a boulevard to Dolores Hidalgo

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, opened to traffic the new bridge “El Pipila”. This bridge makes it easier for drivers to come in or get out of the city on the south side.
First class
“Today is a historic day because we are opening to users a quality, first class infrastructure. This bridge that Sanmiguelenses deserve and that was financed by your paid taxes and the taxes of all those who pay salary taxes. This bridge is an icon in time, quality and beauty”, said the Governor.
In the construction of this bridge 326 million pesos were invested and 200 direct jobs were generated plus 600 indirect jobs.
Strategic infrastructrure
The infrastructure is part of the package of strategic infrastructure announced in 2019 by the Conculting Council for the Application of Salary Taxes.
All the infrastructure is 521 meters long, its construction started in 2019, and 53 thousand vehicles a day will be benefited.
Built in only 11 months
“We put up to work and 11 months later, we are starting operation of this bridge. We have been very responsible with finances and here is an answer for citizens who ask where are the taxes they pay”, said the Governor.
A boulevard to Dolores Hidalgo
Rodriguez Vallejo also said that they are working to start as soon as posible the construction of the “Bulevar La Libertad” that will connect Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende. It is a 32 kilometer boulevard, with an investment of almost 2 thousand million pesos. It will have lanes for cyclists, bridges for people to go across the road, well marked entrances and exits for vehicles, bus stops and it will be completely lighted.
