The third edition of the “People’s Pavilion,” held from October 4th to 21st, 2025, as part of the Fiestas de Octubre in Purisima del Rincon, confirmed the consolidation of the most significant space for economic promotion and entrepreneurial talent in the municipality.
Three years ago, Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano initiated this activation to boost the economy of local families with small businesses, beginning with the October Fair. This effort has been sustained over the past three years through the Direction of Economic Development, in collaboration with the Secretary of Economy of the State of Guanajuato.
The Pavilion hosted 38 exhibitors from Purisima del Rincon, Leon, Irapuato, Guanajuato Capital, San Luis de la Paz, and San Francisco del Rincon.
From October 4 to 21, attendees enjoyed a variety of products, including:
- Footwear, artisan bags, ceramic crafts, handmade leather jackets, silver jewelry, backpacks, pet accessories and costumes, rolled ice cream, fried bananas, cheeses and dairy products, beauty and personal care items, crochet figures, keychains, and personalized products, a local water bottling company, a wine stand showcasing two mezcal producers, a craft beer producer, and a local tequila house
Over the 18 days of the exhibition, the Pavilion generated an economic impact of $841,000 pesos, reflecting visitors’ growing interest in local consumption and products featuring the “Marca GTO” seal.
The Pavilion has been crucial in strengthening the local economy and opening new opportunities for micro and small business owners in the municipality, transforming it into a key meeting point between producers and the community.
The event stands as a testament to the talent, creativity, and effort of the people that pushes the economic development of Purisima del Rincon.
