Tu Puedes Guanajuato extends calls

The Tu Puedes Guanajuato financing program “We Believe in You” brings support to more municipalities in the State

With the goal of closing inequality gaps and promoting local entrepreneurship, the Government of Guanajuato announced new calls for applications to enroll in the initial entrepreneurship workshop in seven municipalities.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director General of the agency, said this is an initiative promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo for entrepreneurs and to boost productive projects in rural, indigenous communities, and vulnerable areas.

The first call is aimed at the municipalities of:

• Huanimaro, Penjamo, Abasolo, and Cueramaro

The second call is aimed at the areas of:

• San Miguel de Allende, Comonfort, and Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosas

Since its launch, Creemos en ti has provided one-time, non-reimbursable financial support of 7,000 pesos to more than 1,940 people in 26 municipalities.

The benefited have mostly been women between aged 18 to 64, who have used these resources to start or strengthen small businesses in sectors such as food, sewing, local commerce, and personal services.

The head of Tu Puedes Guanajuato said that this call is open from October 13 to 17, and the initial entrepreneur workshop lasts approximately two hours, with limited capacity.

“This program represents a vote of confidence in the talent and determination of our people. We believe in your ability to generate real change when given a concrete and dignified opportunity,” said Villasenor.

The “We Believe in You” program is primarily aimed at:

• Women aged 18 to 64
• Young Guanajuatenses aged 18 to 30
• Residents of rural areas, with income vulnerability
• Those belonging to a vulnerable group
• Who are in the early stages of their entrepreneurial project
• Who need a boost to get started

Those interested must pre-register electronically, attend and complete the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, and present a viable productive project.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez said that with each new municipality that joins the “We Believe in You” program, a spark of hope is ignited in the most forgotten corners of Guanajuato.
