Government recognizes women’s participation in its history

State authorities commemorate women for their social, political, cultural and economic contributions

“Guanajuato is moving forward with the participation of women, with its first female Governor, its first gender-balanced cabinet, and its first Women’s Secretary in its history,” said the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona, representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munz Ledo.

Jimenez Lona led the event “Women Who Inspire 2025,” which was attended by Guanajuatense women who are an inspiration and force in public life and decision-making in Guanajuato.

During the State Day to highlight the participation of women in the history of Guanajuato, this year’s event recognized women for their talent, effort, and social, political, cultural, and economic contributions.

“This Government of the People puts women at the center. Not as a concession. Not as a quota. But as the foundation of development. Because when a woman advances, all of Guanajuato advances. Just as so many women throughout history have taught us that the course of a country can be changed, today in our time we also have examples of women who have made possible what seemed impossible,” said the Secretary.
