In an effort to strengthen the economic fabric of the State’s most remote communities, the People’s Government, through the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency, launched the “We Believe in You” program aimed at municipalities in the Sierra Gorda.
Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of the agency, said that this is an initiative promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo to offer entrepreneurs an initial financial support of 7,000 pesos.
“This time, the municipalities of Xichu, Atarjea, Santa Catarina, and Victoria were selected as part of this regional stage and strategy, representing a historic opportunity for their residents to access direct government resources that will allow them to start or consolidate small businesses,” said Ivon.
“This program doesn’t just provide money, it provides trust. We believe in the talent of our people and want them to transform it into a better quality of life for their families,” said the Official.
The “We Believe in You” program is primarily aimed to:
- Women aged 18 to 64
- Young people aged 18 to 30
- Residents of rural areas, with income vulnerability
- Those who belong to a vulnerable group
- Those who are in the early stages of an entrepreneurial project
- Those who need a boost to get started
- The call will be open only from September 10 to 16, 2025
Those interested must pre-register electronically, attend and complete the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, and present a viable productive project.

The General Director of Financiera de la Gente, insisted that the “We Believe in You” grant is a seed of change that seeks to foster entrepreneurship in sectors traditionally excluded from access to financing. In addition, beneficiaries will receive support and training to ensure the success of their projects.
