Investments of US$6.9 million will generate 225 new jobs for Guanajuatense families

The investments that come to Guanajuato must translate into real benefits for the people: more jobs, more opportunities and better income for Guanajuatense families, said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, when leading the inauguration of Warehouse 06 and the laying of the first stone of Warehouse 10 in the Bajio Industrial Park, in Salamanca.
“We’re talking about $4.4 million for Warehouse 06 and $2.5 million for Warehouse 10. These new industrial premises will be an important engine of economic growth in the region and mean more jobs for Guanajuatense families,” emphasized the State Governor.
Warehouse 6 represents a $4.4 million investment and 150 projected jobs; while Warehouse 10 adds $2.5 million and 75 new jobs. Overall, Bajio Industrial Park has already consolidated a cumulative investment of $65.4 million across 24 hectares, with 87% occupancy and a commitment to create 1,275 jobs.
The Governor emphasized that these opportunities will positively impact not only Salamanca, but also the municipalities of Celaya, Cortazar, Villagran, Juventino Rosas, Valle de Santiago, Jaral del Progreso, Penjamo, and Abasolo, by integrating them into production chains with logistics and auto parts companies.
Guanajuato, the engine of El´Bajio
Currently, Guanajuato has 47 industrial parks in 17 municipalities, covering more than 7,100 hectares, of which 3,650 are available for new projects. These conditions have allowed 28 new companies to join the park during the current People’s Government, investing more than $2.5 billion and committing to the creation of 7,000 jobs.
“Good news continues to promote development. A few days ago, we announced the Bajio Logistics Gateway, along with the federal government, which will promote a comprehensive logistics project in the Laja-Bajio region.”, said Libia.
“The project is part of Plan Mexico and will become a catalyst for attracting investment to this region. Today, Guanajuato continues to consolidate its industrial vocation, but also its commitment to generating better opportunities for its people,” said the Governor.
