One week before the start of the Comprehensive Baccalaureate programs in Guanajuato, the Secretary of Education, Luis Ignacio Sanchez Gomez, finished his tour of the eight schools located in Leon, where 1,300 young students will be able to continue their life project out of a total of 3,000 students in the State.

Registration remains open to welcome more students who wish to continue their academic training under this new model, which, in addition to being free, provides comprehensive training for students in just two years and cares for their interests and aspirations.

During his visit to the high schools of Las Coloradas, Lomas de Echeveste, El Carmen, Maria Dolores, San Pedro, La Escondida, El Cortijo, and Presidentes de Mexico, the Secretary urged young people not to abandon their dreams, to remain steadfast in their goal of completing high school, and build a better future.
Sanchez Gomez encouraged students to approach and trust their teachers regarding any psycho-emotional situation, so that they feel supported and accompanied during this important stage of their education.

The teaching staff of this new model is made up of:
- Director, assistant director, administrative technician, subject teachers, art teachers and physical education teachers, in addition students will receive weekend activities such as cultural and sports and have the support of tutors who will accompany the students, in addition to microcredentials, which are digital certificates that certify knowledge and skills and that will allow them to enter the labor market and complete the higher university technical level in just one more year at some university.

“It’s a great advantage to have this high school system so that our children don’t drop out of school. We thank the Governor and the Secretary for ensuring our children are not left out of the education system,” said Gloria Sandoval, the mother of one of the beneficiary students at Las Coloradas high school.
With the Comprehensive Baccalaureate Programs, the Government of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment with the young Guanajuatenses, providing real opportunities for improvement and academic training in communities throughout the State.
