“Today is a very special day for us producers. With the delivery of this support, we will improve our work, support our families, and make our jobs easier,” said Adan Olivares, a Penjamense and beneficiary of the Agricultural Technology Program.

On a work tour of Penjamo, Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo delivered productive support to merchants and farmers. She also kicked off the paving of six streets: three in the City and the rest in communities.

These actions represent a joint investment by the State, the Municipality, and beneficiaries, totaling more than 22 million 289 thousand pesos to strengthen the local economy and improve the quality of life for families.

“We, in this Government of the People, are clear that we owe it to you, working closely, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, with those who have placed their trust in us,” said the Governor.

At the former Penjamo Fair premises, through the Secretary of Economy, the Governor delivered equipment to 186 beneficiaries (138 women) of the Mi Tienda al 100 and Mi Plaza “Fair Markets and People’s Markets” programs, with an investment of more than 2.7 million pesos.

Also, through the Secretary of Farming and Agriculture, support was provided to 257 producers through programs such as Productive Family, Productive Livestock, Agricultural Technology, Protected Agriculture, and Fish Farm, with an investment of 16 million 738 thousand 199.65 pesos, contributed by the State, the Municipality, and the beneficiaries.

The producers who received this and other support are for the municipalities of Penjamo, Abasolo, Pueblo Nuevo, and Huanimaro.

As part of the tour, in the La Estrella community, Libia Dennise led the start of work to pave Professor Medel Street and Emiliano Zapata Street as part of the “Beautifying My Neighborhood” program of the Secretary of the New Beginning, which includes 1,181 square meters of hydraulic concrete paving, curbs, sidewalks, and the renovation of water and drainage systems.

This project will directly benefit 502 people from 124 families, with an investment of more than 2 million 817 thousand pesos, contributed by the State and the Municipality.

Also, the Penjamo Avenue, Regino Cabeza Street, and Gonzalez Garza Street will also be rehabilitated in the City. In Magallanes, Cuauhtemoc Street will be paved, and in Colonia Morelos, Olvido Street will be paved.

“I want to tell you that you have a Governor, and here I have the Mayors, who are working together, closing ranks, because here the work for security, for the issues you have asked us to address: water, development for our neighborhoods, the improvement of our schools, support for the farmers, are a priority for us, and we will continue working as a team,” said the Governor as she reaffirmed her commitment with Guanajuatenses.

On this work visit, the Governor was accompanied by Mayors and Secretaries and Directors of the Government of Guanajuato.
