“Today I want to reaffirm that you can count on me, that Cortazar has an ally in its Governor to continue working for our people. More projects and actions are coming, and we are going to invest in social work. That’s why we are here with you,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, as she delivered projects and support to the families of Cortazar.

Governor Libia Dennise was with Marco Mauricio Estefania Torres, Mayor of Cortazar, with whom she delivered grants under the “Rural Roads,” “Fertilization for the Farmlands,” and “Agriculture of the Future” programs of the Secretary of the Farmlands.

“The best thing about Guanajuato is its people, because we are hardworking people here. You know, every family is a living example of our daily work, which is why today we are delivering this support to the farmers of Guanajuato,” said the Governor.

Fertilizer and corn seed were delivered, the rehabilitation of 7.79 kilometers of seven harvesting roads began. The project represents a 1.6 million pesos investment by the State and Municipality. The communities benefited were La Huerta, Jilote, Lomalinda, San Agustin Culiacan, San Isidro Culiacan, Parra, and Caracheo.
The Municipal Government delivered 50 solar water heaters, 100 water storage tanks, and 210 galvanized sheets to benefit hundreds of families. Also distributed were 15 tricycles, 15 burners, 30 wheelchairs, and 15 walkers with seats.

The Governor of Guanajuato delivered the paving of Mora Street in the Cerrito Colorado neighborhood of the municipality of Cortazar.

This street connects Encino and Camino a La Gavia roads, and its rehabilitation means safety, better access to services, added value for homes, and a substantial improvement in the quality of life for those who live here.

Libia Dennise also led the start of paving work on Benito Juarez Street in Valencia de Fuentes, in Cortazar.
This is the main access route and obligatory passage for most of its residents. The paving work on this street is part of the Beautifying My Neighborhood program, operated by the Secretary of the New Beginning.
