The seventh edition of ‘Purisima de Mil Sabores’ in downtown Purisima del Rincon was presented with 68 merchants, all of them bringing the flavor, seasoning and culinary art of the gastronomy of Purisima del Rincon, as well ass from neighboring municipalities of Guanajuato and elsewhere.
Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, noted that “nine years ago Purisima de Mil Sabores started, but during the pandemic there was a pause, so we are in the seventh edition and it is always important that this event continues because the community grows, people enjoy as a family and there is progress in the goal to hold a sustainable festival, we work for that unity for which Purisima del Rincon is well known”.
“We will keep making this alliance, that is the commitment, for Purisima de ‘Mil Sabores’ to become more solid”, said the Mayor.
Frida Ximena Huett Lopez, director of Tourism Products of the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Guanajuato, said that Purisima de Mil Sabores is growing and becoming a success, and you can tell by the fact that “people come back once and again to keep participating in this gastronomic day, much to sell as in the case of those who come back because they know that ‘Guanajuato Si Sabe’”.
Something important among those who participate is that they know the historical context in each flavor and in each seasoning. Purisima del Rincon, said Huett, has something so that all those who come to the event and those who come to eat can enjoy a moment in attractions for children, the event offers accessibility, and organizers keep working in the sustainable part and there is food that is affordable for all families, so the benefit is for all who are participating, both economic, social, sustainable to form more solid families.
Cesar Ricardo Becerra, a merchant, thanked the Municipal Authorities for doing everything necessary to make of this a great event, and it has great results for commerce.
The enchiladas with dried beef steak and different sauces were the most demanded all day; also crunchy tacos with meat and onion, gorditas, all presentations of tacos, pizza, walnut stuffed chiles, burritos, croissants, sweets, quince and much more items of the gastronomy that identify the participating municipalities of Guanajuato, all concentrated on Sunday in the Main Square of Purisima del Rincon.
There were also arts and crafts, attractions and promotion of the soccer team Wizards offering summer courses, and this is how everyone did something to make a success of the Seventh Edition of the Purisima de Mil Sabores event.
Local Authorities also participated, including councilman Salvador Cruz Villegas; the Director of Tourism, Roberto Camargo; and merchants who represented the sector.
Organizer reported the participation of more than 12,500 people, coming not only from Purisima del Rincon, but also from nearby municipalities like San Francisco del Rincon, Leon, Manuel Doblado, Irapuato, Salamanca and more, as well as from Los Altos in Jalisco and the State of Michoacan.
Also registered was the presence of international visitors, like people from Colombia and Hong Kong.
