“I love it that this fair has a family focus, because that’s what sets us apart, that we always think about our families, our girls and boys. Let’s also think about the economy of our city and our State; that’s why this Festival represents a great opportunity for our merchants and our Marca Guanajuato producers,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
The Governor was at the opening ceremony of the Vive Leon 2025 Summer Festival, where she toured the inflatables area, themed attractions, food court, and pavilions.
The Vive Leon Verano 2025 Festival is a celebration for Guanajuatense families and visitors that brings fun, culture, education, identity, commerce, and togetherness in one place, from July 19 to August 3.
This is a space for socializing and enjoying the community, with free admission and a variety of activities. This year, the Festival will last 16 consecutive days (six more than last year) and will be held at the Leon Fairgrounds and Poliforum.
More than 800,000 people are expected to attend the Festival, making it one of the most anticipated events of this holiday season and a major tourist attraction. It is estimated to generate an economic impact of 459.4 million pesos and 70,000 rooms will be occupied during the Festival.
“We’re also thinking about boosting our hotel, restaurant, and service sectors; about all the people who work there: waiters, cooks, drivers, everyone benefits when there’s an economic impact. This celebration is a reflection of the cultural, economic, and social momentum emerging from our beloved city of Leon,” said the Governor.
This will be the fifth edition and is inspired by a marine theme, where visitors can explore four ecosystems designed to generate unique experiences.
Attractions include:
- The Coral Reef, an area with sandboxes that encourage free play and imagination on kids
- The Pirate World, with giant inflatables and ball pits for endless fun
- The Mermaid Tent, a musical stage for local talent that will fill the atmosphere with rhythm and Guanajuatense pride
- The Ocean, an immersive video mapping experience that will transport everyone to the depths of the sea
The Marca Guanajuato is also present at this Festival within the People’s Pavilion, as an initiative of the People’s Government that directly supports more than 338 local businesses, primarily that bear the Marca Guanajuato emblem.
These sales and exhibition spaces are designed to facilitate the marketing of products of the agro-food, textile, footwear, developing industries, and handicraft sectors.
