The Purisima del Rincon City Theater, a cultural and architectural icon of the municipality inaugurated in 2019, will host the highly anticipated Orchestral Gathering:
- Musical Winds for the People and Sound of Las Joyas, as part of the sixth anniversary on July 17.
With a capacity for 570 spectators and a modern 231 m² stage equipped with cutting-edge audio, lighting, and stage machinery, this venue, designed by Guanajuato-based architect Salvador Zermeno Mendez, has established itself as a key motor of artistic and social development in the region. Its strategic location in Plaza Purisima, in the heart of the city, along with its universal accessibility, make it an open space for the entire community.
Musical Winds for the People is a social program of the People’s Government through the Secretary of Culture of Guanajuato. It is a Community Music Training System that collaborates with 26 municipalities to promote the building of bonds among participating children, adolescents, and young people, and to foster strategies for collaboration and social and musical skills based on a culture of peace and the rights of children and youth.
The system integrates diverse groups such as symphonic bands, orchestras, and choral ensembles. This time, the Musical Winds Symphony Orchestra of Purisima del Rincon will participate.
Sonar Las Joyas AUGE, self-management and community education, AC, is an organization dedicated to community promotion and self-management, focused on providing education and cultural tools so that people in marginalized situations can enhance their capabilities and transform their reality through autonomy and collective work.
This Orchestral Gathering celebrates the fundamental role that the Teatro de la Ciudad de Purisima del Rincon plays in the cultural life of Guanajuato.
