With the participation of 70 local companies, the first Supplier Day organized for the Chinese company Grand Top Sun Mexico, specialized in the manufacture of decorative components for the automotive industry was held.
Under the leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, this reunion seeks to strengthen the local supply chain and generate business opportunities for Guanajuato’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, emphasized that Supplier Day connects Top Sun with local suppliers, bringing together and accelerating international standards and best practices in the production chain.
Grand Top Sun laid its corner stone at the PILBA Industrial Park in Leon in October 2024, with an investment of $55 million to manufacture automotive decorative parts using plastic injection molding, stamping, painting, plating, and assembly processes.
This investment project opens up business opportunities for local companies in areas such as:

Supplier Day is a strategy of the 2024-2030 economic plan to bring local suppliers closer to large companies established or soon to be established in Guanajuato, in addition to accelerating their competitiveness by aligning their quality standards with international demand.
It also consolidates the State’s economic model, based on the Industrial Connection, collaboration with the Economic Turbine,and the use of Guanajuato’s Prosperity Ecosystems.
The partnership between Grand Top Sun and local suppliers will create jobs, knowledge transfer, and inclusive economic growth, strengthening a more dynamic business ecosystem.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Government of the People, through the Secretary of Economy, to sustainable industrial development and the attraction of high-impact investments.
This way Guanajuato strengthens its leadership in attracting capital and strengthening value chains, ensuring that foreign investment brings direct benefits in job creation and preservation.
