Hat and footwear (boot) companies from Guanajuato held a business meeting with potential buyers from Canada to take their products to that country.
Through the Industry Connection program run by COFOCE, 10 Guanajuato companies in the leather-footwear sector were linked to a Canadian company.
The goal is to promote Guanajuatense products such as cowboy hats and boots in the Canadian market, where they can be suppliers of quality products.
“We make wool, chantu, canvas and suede hats, the client who visited us is from Canada, I think it is a market that I am already looking at, it is a very attractive market for me at this time due to the entire macroeconomic situation that is occurring in the country, and I think it is a very good time to be able to make economic alliances with Canada, and that although we have a neighboring country that may already have our products, we can begin to expand to Canada as well,” said Sol Candido of Sombrero Octavio.

“I think it is extremely important because thanks to the fact that they bring us this type of clients, both, those who are looking for Mexican products, and us, we have greater certainty in business, the fact that COFOCE is an intermediary guarantees to us what type of client we are dealing with, it guarantees us that we can make a faster alliance and for the client as well,” said Sol Candido from the company Sombrero Octavio
