At the 2025 Tourism Tianguis, Mexico’s most important tourism promotion event, the State of Guanajuato officially presented the 2025 “Guanajuato ¡Si Sabe!” Gastronomic Season, a high-impact initiative that reaffirms its leadership as a national gastronomic destination.
This program, promoted by the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, includes 25 gastronomic events spread over nine weeks, blending tradition, innovation, food heritage, and local talent. From traditional cooks to nationally recognized chefs, producers, winemakers, and restaurateurs will be part of this experience that highlights the flavors, ingredients, and vibrant expressions of the Guanajuatense cuisine.
The season begins on May 31st with the Guanajuato ¡Si Sabe! Traditional Cuisine Gathering and culminates on July 27th with the Endemic Festival, an event celebrating the State’s native ingredients in avant-garde cuisine.
During the presentation, held at the Guanajuato stand at the Tianguis, the designation of origin for Tequila and Mezcal was noted, as well as the State’s consolidation in wine production, craft beer, and wine and food tours that strengthen tourism and the local economy.
This program is more than just an agenda of activities: it’s a narrative that connects visitors and residents with a deep identity, an evolving tradition, and a modern vision of what it means to eat in Guanajuato.
