Secretary of Culture celebrates Chinese New Year of the Snake with activities at the Conde Rul Museum

The Secretary of Culture, through the Directorate of Museums, joins in the celebration of the Chinese New Year of the Snake with activities at the Conde Rul Museum, a space that houses the Alar Collection of Chinese Art, which is divided into 10 rooms.
This year, the celebration will take place on Wednesday, January 29, with three guided tours of the Alar Collection; another activity will be the printing of a tattoo of the 12 Chinese horoscopes and the workshop “The colors of Chinese porcelain”, paint your tibor.
Guided tours will be held at 10am, 12pm and 15pm by museum staff, where visitors will be able to see this exhibition that brings together 155 pieces, including mainly porcelain, as well as enamels, wood carvings, ivory and bone; paintings and furniture, which focus on the last two Chinese imperial dynasties:
- Ming (1368-1644)
- Qing (1644-1912)
In the activity “Discover and tattoo your Chinese horoscope”, a template is designed so that participants can print the image of their Chinese horoscope. The schedule will be from 10am to 4pm.
Finally, the celebration of the Chinese New Year is complemented by the workshop “The colors of Chinese porcelain” paint your tibor, which consists of each of the attendees painting their clay jar based on the elements and colors used in Chinese porcelain, an exercise that will begin at 11am.
The Conde Rul Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm General admission is 30 pesos and for students, teachers and senior citizens (INAPAM) it costs 15 pesos.
