Libia witnesses swearing in ceremonies of City Councils

The Governor reaffirmed her commitment to each of the 46 municipalities and called to work with a vocation for service and commitment

Libya was present at the inauguration ceremonies in Leon, Celaya, Silao and Irapuato

“Today I want to tell the Mayors that they have an allied Governor and, above all, tell the people that I and the City Councils will work together so that development, works, projects and actions reach exactly where they are most needed”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo,

Libia was at the Solemn Session of the Inauguration of the City Councils of Leon, Silao, Celaya and Irapuato.

“The best is yet to come for Leon”

The Governor started the day by attending the inauguration of Alejandra Gutierrez Campos as Mayor of Leon for the three-year period 2024-2027; during the ceremony, the Mayor gave her Libia a document with projects that will become the Government plan for the next three years.

“I am here to reaffirm my commitment to work for this municipality of Leon, so that we can work as a team in the face of the most important challenges we have, without a doubt, we must talk about the issues we face, security is one of them, and today I want to tell all of you that we will be working firmly, with true coordination accompanied by intelligence and results for the benefit of our people,” said the Governor.

Together for the benefit of people, said Libia in Celaya

The State Governor attended the Solemn Session of the Inauguration of the Celaya City Council, headed by the mayor, Juan Miguel Ramirez Sanchez.

“We will be together with the Mayor to carry out the actions required for the benefit of the people who live in the neighborhoods and communities of this municipality. Together, as a team, we will not hesitate to restore peace and calm in Celaya, and for this reason, coordination with federal institutions is already underway,” said the Governor.

Silao has its first female Mayor

“My recognition to Melanie Murillo, our first female Mayor in Silao,” said the Governor at the inauguration of Janet Melanie Murillo Chavez, in Silao de la Victoria.

The Governor stressed that institutional unity towards social work is a priority in Silao and the State, and urged “not to lose sight of the mission entrusted” and to leave aside partisan colors, because more than personal interests, what is importants is the interests of the citizens.

Libia calls to work with a vocation for service

Also the Governor accompanied Lorena del Carmen Alfaro Garcia in her inauguration as Mayor and of the City Council of Irapuato.

Libia Dennise addressed public servants, calling on them to work with active listening and closeness to the people. 

“We have called this the Government of the People, because this name carries the vocation of never forgetting why we are here and to whom we owe ourselves. Just as our Decalogue says, ‘More citizenship and less window-processes'”, said the Governor.

“Let this be a New Beginning to work for the People. The best years are coming for Guanajuato and Irapuato, let us never lose sight of the objective of public service, which is to improve the environment of the families of Guanajuato”, said Libia.

The Governor mentioned that the current situation of the State and the Municipalities requires plurality and teamwork for the most important project called Guanajuato.
