At the Electromobility Forum, organized by the Italian-German Exhibition Company Mexico, the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato -UVEG-, committed to the environmental, economic and social challenges of the present, held the official launch of the “Diploma in Electromobility”, a program created to train teachers in teaching the importance, technology, regulations and design of electric vehicles.

“This is the first step we are taking both in the sustainability part, as well as in the environmental part, of technology, which is to focus, as we say right now, on the artificial intelligence industry, but also on the data that allows us to be more efficient in what technology is generating. And of course, at the beginning of how electric cars are born, the history, that part that is also culture and that has to be learned. So, today we are making this launch from here, from this place, a launch that we are doing at an international level and also at a national level”, said Ricardo Narvaez Martinez, Rector of UVEG.

The Diploma was designed and developed in collaboration with researchers Jorge de Jesus Lozoya Santos and Ricardo Ambrosio Ramirez Mendoza from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Monterrey campus, as well as researcher Teresa Raquel Granados Luna from the National Polytechnic Institute.

This new educational offering provides a complete immersion in the world of electric vehicles, covering everything from theoretical foundations to rapidly evolving practical applications.

“In Guanajuato, a very important decision has been made to fully address the issue of micro-credentials, and that is exactly what will follow in this diploma. We took some of the topics that would be included in this beginning of this experiment to generate courses or diplomas with a broader scope”, said Ernesto Lugo Ledesma, Director of TecNM Celaya.

This diploma, lasting 80 hours and entirely online, will be taught through the UVEG platform, allowing flexible and high-quality access to all those interested in the electromobility sector.

In the event, an important Collaboration Agreement was also signed by the Italian German Exhibition Company Mexico and UVEG, in order to promote formal academic programs, continuing education, extension services, projects, and academic visits, whether virtual or in person. This agreement aims to promote the execution of joint educational activities that benefit both institutions.
