In Guanajuato with the Fourth Edition of the Foro GO “Now is your moment”, we are creating an Ecosystem of Digital Transformation, so that entrepreneurs and MiPyMes adapt their trade models to global markets.
Thousand expected to participate
Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo headed the launching of the Foro GO “Now is your moment” that will be held from November 11th to the 13th with more than 5 thousand entrepreneurs participating in a virtual form.
“We are betting on technology because it is an engine of transformation and of generation of wealth for our State. That is the only way to achieve a sustainable, inclusive development and there is the transcendence of Foro GO”, said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
A bet for Guanajuato
“Our commitment is to keep betting on the future, because that is the way to have a better present, we are going to keep betting on the Guanajuato of the mind-facture, of the Industry 4.0, of renewable energies”, said the Governor.
In Guanajuato, said the Governor, we work to generate more opportunities for MiPyMes to go into the ecosystem of innovation, of digital transformation, of promoting competitiveness in exports, imports and logistics.
Added value
“Don’t let technology be something unknown that won’t let you completely go into the digital world, increase your competitiveness and this way have a greater margin of profitability to keep growing, out there there is a world to be conquered, but it should be done with differentiation, with added value, not only with low prices or with cheap manufacture, and that is what we are doing in Guanajuato”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor noted that in the past edition of the Foro GO, there was the signing of an agreement of collaboration between Alibaba and COFOCE: Guanajuato was the first State in Latin America to sign an agreement of collaboration with a global Marketplace.
As part of this agreement of collaboration three digital communities were created: One in Zona Piel in Leon in the shoe sector; another in Celaya, in the agricultura sector and the third in Comonfort in the arts and crafts sector.

eCommerce everywhere
“In the digital community in Comonfort there are 85 families that make molcajetes, and this year they are exporting their artisans products made of basaltic stone through electronic commerce to all the world”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“This is a real model of creation of wealth and economic growth for one of the most noble traditional sectors in Guanajuato as is artisans products”, noted the Governor.
COFOCE, said the Governor, also developed “eCommerce GO”, a seminar designed especially for MiPyMes in Guanajuato to know well all the necessary information for sales online.
In the big markets
We helped producers go into global market-places like Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, Novica, Wish, among other, and we also helped them get the tools for them to go into the digital transformation; in this program we have trained 157 people from 100 companies in 16 municipalities of Guanajuato.
This is the inclusive digitalization of which we have been talking about, this is the change of mentality that we are promoting through ecosystems of innovation, we are sure that the formation of digital talent will allow Guanajuato to go on in its economic and social development”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The leaders are here
The Foro GO in its Fourth Edition is organized by the State Government through COFOCE, it is the only event in the Center of Mexico that reunites leader companies in the topics of Cross Border eCommerce, Digital Marketing and sustainability in the Industry 4.0.
Present in the launching of the event were Luis Ernesto Rojas Avila, General Director of COFOCE; Mauricio Usabiaga, Secretary of Economic Development; Philippe Boulanger, vice President of “eCommerce” and the General Coordinator of Social Communication, Alan Sahir Marquez Becerra.
