Teacher Jose Luis Martinez Zepeda expressed that his experience in educational robotics issues began only in the last school year, with the support of other teachers, based on lines of trial and error.

“It has been. It is a great challenge to be part of the KNOWMADS robotics team as a coach, however, they are great experiences, new learnings and I can gladly say that they are great achievements and triumphs”, said Jose Luis enthusiastically.

The teacher shared that, the students he has worked with, the team has been changing, because some, being in sixth grade and completing their primary education, leave school, and, therefore, are no longer members of it, others arrive to participate and be part of these learnings and experiences.

As a team they already had the opportunity to work and participate in competitions at the regional level, such as the FIRST LEGO League Regional Tournament, obtaining first place in the Challenge category, obtaining their pass to the FIRST LEGO League National Tournament, Season 2023-2024, held in Mexico City.

The project with which they participated is called PANARTEC, an application that the team developed; it is downloaded through a QR code, and is aimed at customers of the municipality’s existing bakeries, as well as the general public.

With this application, users have the opportunity to create and share art, based on technological elements, in disciplines such as:

  • Painting, sculpture, movies, theater, among others

Although in the last tournament they no longer advanced to the next stage, they continue to add new experiences, knowledge, skills and techniques, which allow them to continue developing their capacity in educational robotics.

They have participated in other tournaments, for example the robot battle of the Guanajuato League, in February of this year.

Martinez said that his arrival at the Francisco I. Madero primary school, where he is currently a teacher in front of a group, teaching the fourth grade, was 5 years ago, “And although my expectations were not very broad to know what to study, since my horizons were not very broad, with the encouragement of a sister and my parents, they supported me to develop in the educational field, I began my professional life and out of my own conviction, I seek to continue preparing myself¨, said Martinez.

Professor Jose Luis began his career in teaching in 2012, in the Amigo Tutor project, within which he provided tutoring to primary and secondary school students who were behind in their education level, while he was still studying.

Subsequently, Jose Luis completed an interim period at the Benito Juarez primary school, in Providencia, in Acambaro, and continued to provide his service in schools in Salvatierra and Tarandacuao, when he was granted his base.

Jose Luis moved to teach at the Benito Juarez primary school, but this time in the municipality of Valle de Santiago.

Graduated from the Continente Americano University, in Acambaro, an institution where he also completed his high school studies.

He has a master’s degree in Competency-Based Education, from which he graduated at the Fray Andres de San Miguel Education Complex, in Salvatierra, planning to begin to pursue a doctorate.

“I continue on the path of learning, new experiences, visualizing new challenges to continue overcoming, my goal is to continue preparing myself professionally and share my knowledge with my students, so that their outlook expands and their opportunities are greater”, said teacher Josa Luis Martinez Zepeda.
