The Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato -UVEG-, through the Internationalization Coordination, provided follow-up and support to 34 students interested in the Community Colleges -CCI- 2024 program coordinated by the United States Embassy in Mexico, of which two of the students were outstanding winners.

The academic program aims for each young person to develop technical skills in applied fields, improve their leadership abilities and learn more English.

Students went through a rigorous application process, in which their education profile, English level and professional profile were reviewed.

The winning students of the scholarship were:

  • Carola Gomez Montejo, Industrial Engineering student from Campeche
  • Edgar Salinas Flores, Computer Systems Engineering student from the State of Mexico

Thanks to their hard work, both students will have the opportunity to participate in this program that promotes academic and professional growth in an international setting.

The program is offered at the Mesa Community College in Arizona, designed specifically for 11 engineering students from across the country. The main goal is participation in specialized semiconductor courses, working to prepare these students in key areas of production and engineering.
