State DIF transformed to serve the most vulnerable

“The State DIF is a strong and solid institution, with a vision of the future and very solid alliances with all social sectors”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, as he participated in the 5th Activities Report of the President of the State DIF, Adriana Ramirez Lozano.

In these five years, the State DIF has had a great transformation, adopting various strategies to meet the needs of the most vulnerable sectors of our society, highlighted the Governor.

And these changes are possible by the work of the great team that makes up this institution, headed by Adriana’s leadership. I am very proud of your work at the head of the DIF, said the Governor.

Rodriguez Vallejo noted the evolution of the State DIF, since it has gone from being an institution that governs social assistance, to a promoter of human rights and the comprehensive development of people.

The Governor thanked the team that during these five years has accompanied Adriana Ramirez in the task of caring for and supporting the girls and boys, the elderly, the young people and all those who needed the DIF.

The Governor noted strategies such as Alianza GUIA, which has been one of the most successful programs. As well as the formation of the State Attorney for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents, PEPNNA, in addition to the work of SIPINNA.

Thanks to the work of the DIF and Adriana’s initiative to separate functions, today Guanajuato has a better protection system for our children and our adolescents, said the Governor.

“Older adults also have a great ally in the State DIF that supports them, and we will continue promoting programs to serve this sector of the population, which is important for Guanajuato”, noted Rodriguez Vallejo.

“Today we have a different, more functional and innovative DIF to continue supporting Guanajuato families,” said the Governor.

The President of the State DIF, Adriana Ramirez Lozano, after thanking the support she has received from the State Governor to strengthen this institution, highlighted that Alianza Guia has become the strategy for the care and protection of the rights of children and adolescents of Guanajuato.

Ramirez said that PEPNNA, DIF and SIPINNA have been a virtuous triangle that cares for and protects the rights of children and adolescents in Guanajuato, work that has been strengthened with transversal work by various state agencies and the Legislative and Judicial Powers.

Actions, workshops, talks and training have been offered on topics such as food, health, education, family economy, crafts, vegetable production, composting, and furniture manufacturing with recycled material. “Older adults are cared for, because in Guanajuato they are recognized as a fundamental part of society, with rights and opportunities for their development”, said Ramirez Lozano.
