The Social Responsibility Center of Guanajuato Puerto Interior was the scene of a memorable celebration during the Day of the Dead Festival.
In this event, families from Silao communities and collaborators of the companies operating in Puerto Interior came together in one of the most emblematic festivities of our country.
The most important moment of the festival was the Catrinas and Catrines contest, in the children’s, youth and adult categories. More than 50 participants and their families showed their creativity and team skills and surprised with their characterizations full of folklore and creativity. A large number of costumes were made with love and dedication.
The event was attended by people of all ages, who gathered to pay tribute to their loved ones and preserve Mexican traditions.
“There is a very beautiful energy in the environment, everyone collaborating from the youngest to the ladies, regardless of which community they attend, it unites us and makes us see that more Beyond differences or difficulties, in the end, we can unite for beautiful causes. And these types of activities help a lot to rebuild the social fabric”, said Paola Caraza, general coordinator of the Social Responsibility Center of Puerto Interior.
Offerings were displayed in the form of sixteen beautiful mats, designed with creativity, love and professionalism, demonstrating the participation, talent and teamwork of the communities.
Héctor López Santillana, general director of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, emphasized the importance of family in everyone’s life and the value of preserving our traditions, “Family is the purpose, the motive, the reason why it is worth working for everyone. every day, sacrifice, make an effort, achieve our dreams so that those dreams not only bear fruit for us, but also bear fruit for our children, our grandchildren, our family”, said Lopez Santillana.
The Day of the Dead Festival was not only about celebration, but also about fostering cultural identity and togetherness in the community. This event is a reminder that traditions keep the essence of our roots alive and allow new generations to build a future of peace and participation.
