“When history is documented, it leaves a legacy for future generations, like this book that exposes brave women risking everything to be better”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the presentation of the book “Without Fear of Success: the Legacy of Business Women in Mexico”, by the Mexican Association of Business Women –AMEXME-.
The book captures the stories of women in the Mexican business community, since 1965 when the Association was created.
“Thank you for allowing us Guanajuatenses to be part of this project; this book is an important investment for us, because what we are looking for in Guanajuato is inspiration, and listening to these stories is enough to understand that it is a book that will inspire many women to undertake and grow”, said the Governor.
Guanajuato in the last 30 years, said the Governor, has had an important boost in the economy, and the work of many women entrepreneurs has been a fundamental part in positioning Guanajuato as the sixth economy in Mexico.
As an example, the State Executive cited the products of the collective brand ‘Marca Guanajuato’, with a registry of more than 5,000 companies, most of them run by women.
“These stories in the book will make them believe in themselves; this book is a great investment to boost its growth”, said the Governor of Guanajuato.
The National President of AMEXME, Lucero Cabrales Garcia Conde, said that there are 51 businesswomen who record their history in this book and for each one of the AMEXME Chapters in the Country, there is a story included in the Book.
Cabrales said that in Guanajuato the work of businesswomen stands out for the impetus and perseverance to get ahead in their companies.
“In the book there are stories of women who transcend in different business lines; they are considered memorable and different stories, and they deserve to be told”, said Cabrales.
“It is a great work that includes biographies and portraits to present them to society and, above all, to young women; they are success stories, since when everything was against us and today, thanks to our constant work, we have moved forward”, said the businesswoman.
The President of AMEXME thanked the Governor of Guanajuato for the editorial support of this work that narrates the business work of women from Guanajuato and Mexico.
At the presentation of the book “Without Fear of Success: the Legacy of Business Women in Mexico”, the coordinators of the book, Judith Yannini Flores and Nelly Aviles; the President of the National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry -CIRT-, Jose Antonio Garcia Herrera; and the Director of Banco Pyme Banorte, Ana Laura Medina Perez.
