The Government of Guanajuato through the State Institute of Culture of Guanajuato maintains the Call for Living Human Treasures in force with the objective of identifying and recognizing the elderly bearers of the intangible cultural heritage of their community.
Living Human Treasures (THV) are considered to be the people who are guardians and promote art and popular culture in the state. To be a candidate to this title it is a requirement to be over 65 years of age, of Mexican nationality and with recognition in your community.
The possibility of up to three people awarded with the distinction of
Living Human Treasure 2023 is being considered with an economic stimulus of 50 thousand pesos for each one, in addition to an additional prize of 86 thousand pesos to be distributed among those who deserve a Honorable Mention.
Candidates should be presented until August 14. Applications will be
received at the Center for the Arts of Guanajuato at Av. Revolución 204, Centro, in Salamanca. The results will be announced on September 1 of this year on the digital channels of the State Institute of Culture.
