The Governor inaugurates the first Innovation HUB in Guanajuato

Governor Diego Sinhue inaugurated the first HUB-i in Celaya to strengthen innovation and the development of Industry 4.0 in the State of Guanajuato.
It is an ideal space to develop products, ideas and businesses with a creative element, where the HUB-i will encourage entrepreneurship and Mindfacture in Guanajuato, and the developers of ideas will be able to seek the necessary support to consolidate them.
Antonio Reus Montano, General Director of the Institute of Innovation, Science and Entrepreneurship for Competitiveness of the State of Guanajuato -IDEA GTO-, said that this innovation forum strategy has been raised based on the vision of the Mindfacture and is the first of four HUBS that will be opened in the State, soon in Irapuato, Leon and Guanajuato City.
He said that today the Valley of the Mindfacture in Guanajuato has:
- 30 innovation gyms
- 20 accredited incubators
- 300 mentors
- 14 nodes of the Mindfacture
- The Startup Capital is in the process of consolidating itself as one of the largest innovation forums in Mexico
Reus noted that in a global evaluation in Israel, Guanajuato stood out with a high-level innovation ecosystem that is growing rapidly; it is considered the twelfth in the region in Guanajuato.
Reus said that according to the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property –IMPI-, today Guanajuato is the second State with the most patent applications in Mexico and the third with the most applications for invention nationwide.
“This is the product of a vision and teamwork, coordination and a heart set at the service,” said Reus Montano.
After the inaugural ceremony of the HUB-i, the Governor, with the Mayor of Celaya, Javier Mendoza Marquez, toured the facilities where young people presented various projects with Industry 4.0, the Orange Economy and the Aerospace Industry.
