The Guanajuato State Tax Administration Service -SATEG- was recognized at the headquarters of the Senate of the Republic, in Mexico City, by U-GOB Lab in its edition 2023.
U-GOB Lab is an institution that promotes technology and innovation in the Government, promotes and recognizes the interaction of the community that uses technology and creates innovation in the various governments, at all levels.
For eight years, this U-Gob Awards ceremony has been held, recognizing the best public innovation projects at the Federal, State and Municipal level in Latin America, which are able to transform the lives of citizens for the better, highlighting the Digital Transformation of public institutions, with a focus on Innovation and Open Government.
In this 2023 edition, more than 100 institutions from all over Latin America participated, which generates greater competition in the contest.
To determine the winners, U-GOB brings together a group of experts who identify the highest scores, considering:
- The results of the Project
- The impact on citizen service
- Alignment with the government strategic framework
- The magnitude of users reached in the project
With these parameters, SATEG achieved the highest scores in this contest, obtaining the recognition as first place in two categories.
The first, U-GOB Award for the Data Analytics Project, with the project, “FormalidadGTO.maps” , which consists of:
- 1. Data analysis
- 2. Processing and transformation
- 3. Generation of electronic tax records
- 4. Geospatial analysis
- 5. Real time data management
- 6. Cloud processing
The second, in the U-GOB Information Security category, with the project, “Electronic Signature Plus-Gto” consisting of:
- 1. Generation of algorithms for the encoding of electronic signatures
- 2. Protection of personal data through unique encryption
- 3. Signing of more than 16 thousand documents in a matter of seconds
- 4. Control and security of taxpayers’ data
- 5. Provide legal certainty about the acts
- 6. Reduce costs and staff time
In Guanajuato, Mindfacture is in every public policy, and government management is no exception, so we always work to continue consolidating the technological and operational vanguard.
These awards are the results of SATEG’s multidisciplinary work team, which, making use of technology, seeks constant innovation, making it possible to provide procedures and services with greater agility and ease to the taxpayer.
