Guanajuato is the only State that does not have any resources to be clarified as part of its expenditures in 2021, reports IMCO

The Government of Guanajuato complies with the commitment of transparency in all its Government actions and stands out as the only State in Mexico that does not present resources to clarify its federalized spending exercised in 2021, according to the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness -IMCO-.
“In Guanajuato we are committed to clear accounts and transparency in all government actions. It is a commitment and we are fulfilling it, as supported by the IMCO studies”, said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The IMCO resumed the report of the Superior Audit of the Federation -ASF- on the public account of 2021, which indicates that, of the 2,050 audits, 1,688 (82%) were made on federalized State spending, which adds up to 2 trillion 818 million pesos, however, the use of 52 thousand 211 million pesos still remains to be clarified.
The Contribution Fund for the Educational Payroll and Operating Expenses –FONE- is the fund through which the Federation covers the payrolls corresponding to the personnel that holds positions transferred to the States. According to the Superior Audit of the Federation, 262.7 million pesos still remain to be cleared.
The IMCO points out that one of INSABI’s main programs is Health Care and Free Medicines for the Population without Labor Social Security; the Superior Audit Office of the Federation detected that 1,723 million pesos still remain to be cleared up, since its resource management, according to this report, was neither efficient nor transparent.
With these numbers, the Government of Guanajuato stands out for being an open Government and a national example in accountability, and revalidates its commitment to transparency in all its government actions, for the benefit of the families of Guanajuato.
The report was prepared by the IMCO with data from the Basic Data Matrix of the Results Report of the Superior Audit of the Public Account 2021, Third Delivery of the Superior Audit of the Federation.
