The social worker of Las Joyas Community Hospital in Leon, Jazmin Lizette Garcia Flores, was awarded by the federal Ministry of Health, on the occasion of the National Recognition of Social Work of the National System.
The Guanajuato worker on the occasion of the National Social Work Day 2022, was recognized in the category: “Social work actions to strengthen the Institutional Response capacity during the Covid 19 pandemic”.
The director of Process Improvement doctor Nilson Agustin Contreras Carreto mentioned Jazmin Lizette García Flores in a commemorative event in virtual format. She is the only Health social worker of the Guanajuato health system that receives this distinction this year; as well as colleagues from Torreon Coahuila, Mexico City and Hidalgo.
Since 2017, this recognition has been given to Mexicans for their performance and their contribution to development with quality and efficiency.
This year social workers were awarded for projects done in their vocation.
Jazmin Garcia, after learning about the award, thanked the support she has received from the entire Guanajuato Health System to make this possible.
“For me it is a recognition at the federal level with a high intangible value that generates in me a greater social commitment and that has always been carried out by me with great affection and enthusiasm, always giving the best of me,” said Jazmin.
Dr. Cristina Flores, director of the Las Joyas Community Hospital, said she is proud to have obtained this recognition that represents an achievement, not only for the Hospital but for the entire Guanajuato society.
She also thanked the support of all health authorities, for which it represents not only an individual but a group achievement. “In the hardest part of the pandemic, support and follow-up were provided to patients who presented situations of abandonment, poverty, drug addiction, that is; patients with really complex situations”, said Fores. “Las Joyas,she recognized Dr., is one of the most vulnerable polygons in the state”.
