In his visit to this market, Governor Diego Sinhue recalled his origins as a merchant and recognized the work of the tenants. “You know and I have always said that my origins are from a merchant. I come from a family of merchants with great honor and pride. I know what it means to cross and I value the merchant very much, because they are very good people, that is why I always defend the business, because they are good people, hard-working people who know what it is to work and what weight goes into the bag, it is weight sweated by the work of the family”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The investment in the place is for 30 million pesos, of which more than 19.7 million pesos come from the State Government, added to 4.3 million pesos invested by the municipality of Leon.
This market has butcher shops, cream shops, tortilla, furniture, clothes and shoes, fruits and vegetables, novelties and cosmetics, refreshments, seasonal items, lunches and dinners.
The work benefits 21,455 inhabitants of the area, which belongs to the San Juan Bosco delegation, from communities such as Mexican Journalists, Article Fourth, El Conejo, Barranca de Venaderos, Providencia, Coral de Piedra, Cumbre de la Gloria, the Reserve and Green Field.
This work generates an average of 148 direct jobs and from services related to market activity, approximately 350 indirect jobs.
The new Virgen de Guadalupe market is integrated into the new Mercados Leon MX business model, implemented in the first stage in the markets: Aldama, Comonfort Zapatero, San Juan Bosco, Carro Verde and La Luz.
This program consists of actions such as the implementation of the marketing strategy in digital networks to strengthen commercial positioning.
