The Government of Guanajuato endorses its commitment to fight crime, by reinforcing security in areas with a high incidence of crime in Leon.
The Secretary of Public Security of the State increased patrolling based on the -Guanajuato Seguro- strategy and on the direction of the Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
Both aircraft assigned for this task have state-of-the-art technology, as they have thermal and night vision cameras, a navigation system that allows them to fly over day and night, as well as fully operational and powerful cameras.
The plan of operation is carried out abiding to the coordination between the State Public Security Forces and the Secretary of Security, Prevention and Citizen Protection of Leon.
Each patrol implies the participation of municipal and State elements who from land and air, join forces against crime.
The aircraft flies based on the registry that the local authority has on the areas of high crime incidence, according to information from the SSPPC.
Since last weekend, coordinated ground-air patrols have increased in the city of Leon, also with the support of the National Guard and personnel from the Secretary of National Defense.
