In Guanajuato, the leather-footwear-supply-textile-fashion Cluster represents a strategic activity for our economy, said the Governor

“So far in the State Administration, 2,360 companies have been supported in projects related to SAPICA with an investment of 115 million pesos through the Chamber of Footwear”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.
The Governor was at the inauguration of the 88th edition of SAPICA, considered the most important fair in Latin America for footwear and leather goods.
“This year we are supporting the strengthening of the industry with a contribution of more than 22 million pesos to benefit 419 economic units,” said the Governor.

“The leather and footwear industrialists have a very clear path to conquer the future. A course marked by innovation and technology; by artificial intelligence and digital culture. And on this path, the industrialists of this sector have always had the support of the State Government”, said the Governor.
Since 2016 the State Administration has supported the Knowledge Pavilion, which has been very successful. There is an extensive conference program to promote the entire value chain of the leather, fashion and footwear industry, said the Governor.
The State Government benefits 162 companies with the Commercial Development Program, the Pavilion of Companies in Development, Attraction of Buyers and the mentioned Knowledge Pavilion.
“In Guanajuato, the leather-footwear-supply-textile-fashion Cluster represents a strategic activity for our economy”, noted Rodriguez Vallejo.
“We are very proud of the entrepreneurs in the leather and footwear sector. Because they are people committed to the progress of their union; with the development of its people, with a clear vision of the future of the industry, and with great social responsibility”, said the Governor.
