“I had the opportunity to talk to the former Governors that in the last 30 years have worked with Guanajuatenses in the transformation of the State”, said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato on his social networks.
“We recalled how Guanajuato was an agriculture economy State, we were one of the 10 poorest States of Mexico and the last in superior education”, said Rodriguez Vallejo about his reunion with the former Governors of Guanajuato, Carlos Medina Plascencia, Vicente Fox Quezada, Juan Carlos Romero Hicks, Juan Manuel Oliva and Miguel Marquez Marquez.
Rodriguez Vallejo recounted the achievements and the situation of the economy and the productive sectors in Guanajuato.
“With planning and continuity today we can say that:
- We are the number 1 exporter of foods
- We have more than one thousand exporting companies
- 33 of the 46 municipalities have jobs from products for export
- We were exporting 300 MD a year, today we export more than 26 thousand 500 MD
- We are the 6th economy in Mexico
- We went on from producing grains to become the refrigerator of Mexico and be the main exporter of berries, peppers, asparragus, broccoli
- We became the most important automotive cluster in Latin America
- There is no other State with 7 assembly plants that manufacture 7 thousand vehicles a day that are exported all over the world
- More engineers graduate in Guanajuato than in other cities in Mexico with a larger population, thanks to universities like the University of Guanajuato, Ibero, UNAM, the Politechnic and other
- We send hundreds of students to study all over the world and we have the best scholarships system in Mexico
- We have the best Health System in Mexico, we are leaders in transparency in spending, in service, equipment and the most important: the human resources at work
“We are not only going to assemble what we export, but now we are going to design it. We are in the transition from manufacture to Mindfacture, we bet on design and innovation”, said Rodriguez Vallejo about the new direction on which Guanajuato is heading.
“We agreed with former Governors that we are going on the right way for Guanajuato to keep being the Greatness of Mexico”, said the Governor of Guanajuato in his message on social networks.
