As she presented her Second Report of her Government, Libia Dennise also highlighted that Guanajuato has the best State Health System in Mexico; “we are National Leaders, and we don’t say so ourselves, the facts speak for themselves. Here we take care of health as a priority every day, with medical consultations, surgeries, and the millions of laboratory tests we perform.”

In Guanajuato, there is a zero-rejection policy. “Our doors are always open to everyone equally,” said the Governor, who pointed out that our State ranks first nationally in childhood vaccinations, measles vaccinations, and seasonal influenza vaccinations.
Nearly 3 million doses have been administered to children, the elderly, and pregnant women.

Libia noted the support given to senior citizens through programs such as Grandes Sonrisas and Ya Veo Bien, with the delivery of dental prostheses and cataract surgeries.
The Governor highlighted the Touching Hearts strategy, a model of social solidarity in which government and private initiative participate.

She highlighted the creation of the Human Rights Secretary, and from the Undersecretary of Diversity, the Guanajuato Embraces Diversity Guide was launched, so that every public servant can be trained to guarantee the rights of all people.
Libia Dennise said that our migrants are a powerful and resilient force that shows us every day that wherever a migrant is, Guanajuato is there, and so that they never feel alone, the MigranTeQuiero strategy was launched. “We know it has been a difficult year for our migrants, and we decided that upon returning to their homeland, they should feel at home again. Therefore, we are opening our doors to them with support so they can start businesses and revitalize their economy here, in addition to healthcare support and scholarships for their children.”
The Governor added that through the Silver Miners program, they are able to overcome borders to reunite parents and children they haven’t hugged in over 20 years. We handle all the paperwork and accompany them on the round trip, covering everything necessary so they can focus solely on seeing their loved ones again.

Education coverage is growing
The Governor also highlighted that through the New Beginning Scholarships and the Single Scholarship System, thousands of young people today have the certainty that their only concern should be to prepare themselves and dream big.
Today, she said, more schools now have new roofs, and with this we are addressing a demand that was repeatedly made to me, especially by mothers. We have already installed 200 school roofs in the first year and we are aiming for more.
In addition, school supplies, backpacks, and uniforms were distributed, because we know that every peso that parents save is money they can use to continue supporting their families.

Libia Dennise said that last year 13 Community Early Childhood Care Centers were created, thus increasing coverage. And this year we will be creating another 35 new centers, so that when children reach preschool or primary school, they will have the tools to learn, socialize, and succeed. “Today we are the State that is giving the most support to early childhood education in the entire country.”
In addition, the Guanajuato Comprehensive High School was created, which is a ‘Guanajuato Brand’ model where we converted our secondary schools so that in the afternoon they become high schools and thus take advantage of the educational facilities all day.
“Last year we created 31 high schools, and thanks to their success, we will open 40 more this year. Today, we have more young people studying in our classrooms than a year ago. And most importantly, they are not alone. At the Comprehensive High School, they have access to ongoing psychological support, with professionals who guide our students so that nothing hinders their path to success”, said the Governor.

Libia noted the Microcredentials program and Dual Training. Today, Guanajuato is a leader in Latin America when it comes to connecting the talent of our youth with what companies need from them.
Today Guanajuato offers more opportunities than ever to study, with 1,149 high school institutions and 283 higher education institutions, both public and private, she said.
Furthermore, said Libia, because we know that an important part of education is sports, we rehabilitated 36 sports facilities throughout the State, so that they have courts where they can strengthen their bodies and, above all, where they can strengthen their minds and their discipline.

The Governor noted that she has two Cabinets, because the young members of the Youth Cabinet were recently appointed.
For the first time, 21 young people, on a gender-balanced team, are directly involved in the decisions of this government. “They are my youth secretaries who work with their peers, contributing their vision, talent, and ideas that move Guanajuato forward.”
