The Project will add up and strengthen the new strategy of the Valley of Mindfacture in Guanajuato
The announced investment will create more than 800 high quality jobs

Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, confirmed a new investment for US$102 million dollars with the Austrian ZKW Group, which will hire local engineers.
Creative and innovative minds
“Guanajuato is a State of creative and innovative minds, that is why we are working to attract investments with companies that meet this demands, and this is definitely the case of ZKW, a company that works in the development of advanced lightning systems in headlights for luxury cars”, said the Governor.
This investment is the third in Guanajuato by this company, a specialist in elecytronics systems and Premium lightning.
The investment will create:
- 830 jobs
- 127 be for engineers
- 47 for specialized professionals
- 346 for operations
- More than 300 in administrative areas and indirect jobs
By the year 2025:
- ZKW would create more than 2,500 jobs

The group of Guanajuatense Authorities had a reunion with directors of the company chaired by the CEO, Oliver Schubert; the COO Wolfgang Muhri and the Vice President of ZKW in Mexico, Jan Seumenicht.
With this new investment, the ZKW plant in Puerto Interior, in Silao, since 2014, will grow in 22 thousand meters to cover 55 thousand meters in its premises with a production of 3.8 million headlights a year.

ZKW Group has 10 thousand employees worldwide, 1,083 are in the Silao plant.
The investment by ZKW is even more important because it will have great connections with local suppliers, promoting the investment of Guanajuatense companies in different sectors.
